Christmas lights, oh what a sight.

I didn't really do much on Christmas Eve. When I was younger, we used to open up our presents and have a nice dinner with our parents. We being my brother and I haha. Now that he's married and lives 10 hours away, that's not the case ): I miss having him here for holiday's.
But my mum and I ended up making a pot roast. It ended up so good! It's the second one that I've made this year.

our tree all lit up (:

Then on Christmas morning, I woke up at nine in the morning and got ready to go to my gram's for Christmas breakfast. It was snowing when I looked out my window. I'm glad we had a white Christmas, but otherwise than that the snow can just go away. I finally wore a dress I bought about a year ago and it fit really well.

Then we headed up to my gramma's for breakfast and we were there for like a four hours. My allergies were really aggravated by the time we left because she has a long-haired cat. But it was really nice up there. Her new house she has is cute. The breakfast we had was really good and so was dessert. I made the coffee cake and peanut butter reindeer shaped cookies.
Mum gave me a blank cookbook to write all the recipes I love in it for whenever I move out. I love it.

I sent out my Christmas presents to everybody in like the first week of December and everybody loved them. I made hand-braided headbands for my online friends that I send presents to.
I've gotten a few of my presents in the mail from people. Still waiting for the ones people say they're going to send out haha.

the gifts my friend Andrea in California sent me

the ornament my friend Holly in Oklahoma made me

the gift card my bubby and sis-in-law sent me
Then I went after Christmas shopping this past Tuesday. I always love going and shopping the sales that happen after Christmas. You save SO much! I got some instant snow to send my best friend Ani who lives in SC now (she has for the past 2-ish years). She said she missed the snow. So I'm going to send it to her in February for her birthday. Then I got myself a magnetic picture frame that was super cute. Then I also got myself a Hershey gift set.

I also got the postcards and stickers from Charlavail's Holiday Store in the beginning of December. They're so cute :3

Now just to wait for my clothes, cd's, and perfume I ordered to come in the mail.

sisterhood of the traveling pants.

All I do now from midnight to 1 am, or later, is read. Not that I'm complaining. It helps me sleep. I also love books. I love losing myself in the story and kind of feeling like I'm close to the characters.

The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants series is so wonderful. Their friendship is just great and powerful. The books are definitely better than the movies are! And the last book just basically tears your heart out and stomps on it. I just wanted to cry. But the ending is as close to perfect as it can get. If I say more, it'll give stuff away! I definitely recommend this series.
I also think that she should write more books to add to the series because I just don't want it to end haha.

And now I'm reading the Queen Geek Social Club series. I'm almost done with the first book. I'll probably finish it tonight.

Also it's almost Christmas... Holy crap!

so thankful.

Never ended up going to my gramma's open house party thing since my mummy was sick. Just had Jerrica over to hang out and exchange Christmas presents early instead. I got Jerrica a custom calendar, a book, a Hanson concert dvd, and coffee. And she got me Lindt Chocolate, yummy.

Then I got my 11"x17" frames for my concerts posters on Wednesday (the 16th). The Jonas Brothers one is 3 years old, but the Hanson one is from this year. So glad they're in better frames now! And I also got the new Harry Potter DVD in the mail! Haven't watched it yet, but will soon. I've been watching the other movies of the Harry Potter series. Even though I've seen ALL the movies already.

Then on Friday (the 18th), I got the new Christmas tree mum ordered in the mail, so I set it up. Even though normally we don't put it up until after Thanksgiving. It's not as full as our old Christmas tree, but it was about time to get a new one haha.

And on Sunday (the 20th), I went to see Breaking Dawn: Part 1 with Jerrica and my parents. I love going to matinee showings 'cause it's only $5 a ticket! It was actually really good. Better than the other movies. Still not as wonderful as the book though. Forever in love with the books haha.

It snowed last night ): We got 15 inches of snow. Yuck. Wish it'd only snow on Christmas, and then go away.

Also ordered really cute postcards and stickers from Charlavail's holiday store.

And today is Thanksgiving. Just had lunch with my parents. I'm so full haha.

i find hope and it gives me rest.

A couple weeks ago I went on a walk with my parents outback to the railroad tracks. It was nice, but chilly. Most of this fall has been extremely cold. Then I got a few things in the mail that I've been wanting... still waiting for one thing though. We had a beautiful double rainbow a week ago! It snowed twice within 3 days (the pics from here are only from the 2nd snow)... Not a huge fan of the cold, but the snow is pretty in pictures... and I like going out in the dark while the snow is falling, even though I'm afraid of the dark haha. Also sent out things/presents I've collected over the past 2 years for my best friend, out to her today. It cost $25 to send it out -__-

I've been making a lot of Christmas presents for my friends lately. I'm hoping they like them when I send them out around Christmas.

In a couple of weeks, I have to go to an open house thingy that my gramma is having. Offered to make applesauce cookies for that.. So I'm going to. Also bringing my friend Jerrica with me so that I'm not bored out of my mind.

come on this musical ride with me.

While I was waiting in line for the show with Jerrica and my dad, we (Jerrica & I) went to Starbucks. I had a Strawberry & Creme frappuccino and marble pound cake.

So last night was the Hanson concert, but it didn't last as long as usual. They've all been fighting colds for over a week, especially Taylor. So they played 10 songs. They're going to reschedule the show though, and all we have to do is bring the tickets from last night and we will get in free. Hopefully I get to meet them next time.

It was still amazing though.

Hanson played:

  • Musical Ride
  • Waiting For This
  • Where's The Love
  • Minute Without You
  • And I Waited
  • Deeper
  • Running Man
  • Thinking 'Bout Somethin'
  • MMMBop
  • Man From Milwaukee

I met up with Mary, Julie, and Ashley from the Hanson concert I went to in summer of 2010. It was nice seeing them. They live 3 hours away from me up in northern Maine, so we don't like ever get to see each other.

fair.

I went to the fair on Wednesday with my mum and dad. It rained off and on, along with being super windy. But it was fun still. I had french fries as soon as I got there. Then we walked around a bit. Then I had some fried broccoli w/ warm cheese sauce. Then I saw a "pick your own pearl" vendor thingy. So I picked one and there was this purple-ish/pink (the pic doesn't do the color justice at all) pearl inside. It was so cool watching the person get the pearl out of the oyster. They made it into a ring for me. Mum and I then decided to go play some games. And she won me this really cute dolphin (that I named Alek) at that water gun game thingy. Then I had two cups of hot chocolate, 'cause it was cold outside and I wanted to stay warm. Then I got my maple sugar cotton candy! Yum. Then mum and I got fried dough w/ powdered sugar on it before we decided to leave.

And today I found out that The Academy Is... broke up ): I'm sad about that. I'm glad that I was able to see them headline a show at a small club last year, along with meeting Beckett and Sisky.

Only a few more days until Hanson!

finally autumn.

So it's finally Autumn/Fall! I'm so happy. It's my favorite season, by far. I love the chilly weather, the fresh smell of the air, the colors of the leaves, having barely any bugs outside, the food, and the fair. I'm sure there's more, but that's all I can think of right now.

My grandparents got here on Friday the 23rd of September and left yesterday. I didn't get any pictures of them being here, but it was a nice visit.

It's amazing how the colors change in the sky each season. They're very bright during the summer, and very warm in the fall.

I finished the book "Delirium" that I wrote about on my last blog. It is such an amazing book. It tore apart my heart and made me want to cry at the end. I'd tell you what happened, but I do not want to spoil anything (; There's a sequel coming out to it on March 6th called "Pandemonium". I can't wait to read it! (:

The fair starts this Sunday. I think I'm going to go on Tuesday, if the weather is okay and I feel good. It's usually the day that's less busy. And if my favorite teacher from high school gets back to me, then Jerrica and I will probably visit her sometime next week. Then on October 11th, we're (Jerrica, my dad, and I) going to Hanson! I'm excited for it.

la la land.

I've been reading like crazy lately. The only time I read is from like 12 am to 1:30 am though haha.

The "Need" series is absolutely amazing. It only took me about a week and a half to finish the 3 books ('cause I had to order the books after "Need" and they took forever to get here). I recommend that you read the series. The order of the books goes "Need", "Captivate", and then "Entice". There's a 4th book coming out in May.

"Ten Things We Did (And Probably Shouldn't Have)" was hilarious, heartbreaking, and lovely. It's a good, quick read.

I'm reading "Delirium" right now. It's pretty good so far. I'm sure I'll love it by the end. I'll try to remember to update about it in another post, whenever I end up finishing it.

nothing's bigger than love.

My brother Dustin and my sis-in-law Linzi arrived on Friday at 1:30 am. The last time they visited was March. It's nice to see them again.

I went on a walk with my mum on Saturday. There's a path behind my house that leads to the abandoned railroad tracks. I love walking it. There was tons of mosquitoes out there though ): There usually isn't. I'm going to go out back again once the leaves start turning colors. The pics will be much prettier then.

Yesterday, my gramma and grampa D came over, along with my grampa E. We had tacos. Then we celebrated my brother's 27th birthday (which is on the 24th of this month) with a cake grampa E bought my brother and some apple pie that my gramma D made. The cake was delicious. I didn't try the apple pie though.

Then we took a family picture. None of us really wanted to take it. But my gramma W insisted that we had to, so that she didn't have to put multiple pictures on her new walls haha.

Dustin, Linzi, Me, Mum, and Dad

Yesterday mum, dad, and I went to Froagie's also. Their ice cream is so good. They close really soon and I hadn't been there all summer. I really wanted my cotton candy ice cream.

Later today, I'll be hanging out with my brother and Linzi some more. Since they leave tomorrow ): I'm going to miss them.
